Busch 5962 and 5963, electronic timer and electronic light barrier, including installation instructions, for H0 and N gauge, without original packaging.
When a train interrupts the infrared light barrier, the timer is triggered. A connected electronic device (up to 150 mA) is turned on. After the adjustable time has elapsed (approx. 2–24 seconds), the system automatically shuts off. If a train comes to a stop within the light barrier’s range, the on time is extended until the light barrier is cleared. Ideal for controlling hazard lights, traffic signals, lighting, etc.

An IR light barrier consists of a transmitter that emits invisible IR (infrared) light and a receiver that detects this light. If the light beam is interrupted, the receiver detects this.
